King Arthur Montessori Academy believes in giving children a rich formative education they can take throughout the school years and into life beyond. This begins with Montessori Early Childhood Education. Our program, based on the child-centered educational principles of Dr. Maria Montessori, is both welcoming and dynamic. Dedicated, well-trained certified Montessori Teachers and Caregivers guide and direct students with love and respect in a home-like setting.
Our school welcomes children ranging in ages infants through 6 years, which includes private kindergarten. Our Montessori teachers have created a beautiful and orderly prepared environment where children develop independence, self-discipline, and a life long love of learning. We offer several extracurricular activities that are included in the curriculum such as Spanish, Music, Cooking, and Yoga. Additional enrichment programs offered include robotics, dance, gymnastics, football, and amazing athletes.
With all of these factors at work, the students at King Arthur Montessori Academy receive a comprehensive education by a professional, dedicated, and well trained certified Montessori Teachers and Caregivers.
Our Montessori Education
montessori Classes
Our Montessori curriculum begins as early as 12 months in our toddler program. Here, our toddlers are introduced to Practical Life and Sensorial exercises, which serve as a foundation for the primary curriculum as they are immersed in a language-rich environment. The primary classes (3-6 years) focus on Practical Life, Sensorial, Math, Language, and Cultural areas helping the child achieve a comprehensive education to prepare them for their elementary years. All of our toddler and primary classes are lead by certified Montessori guides.
Enrichment programs
At KAMA we understand the importance of a well-rounded education for your children. Along with our Montessori curriculum we incorporate a variety of enrichment programs each day at no additional cost. Our current classes include Spanish, music, computer, cooking, and yoga. If there are other enrichment programs you would like your child to participate in, we have several companies that offer classes on our campus during the afternoon or during the after school program such as dance, gymnastics, football, and robotics.
special Events
There are many reasons to celebrate throughout the year and we love to recognize these by hosting special events. Each month we have a special theme that is incorporated into the month’s activities. A few of our special events are: Dr. Seuss month including a parade and dress up day, Culture month where each class is transformed into a different country, and our fall festival, Christmas musical, etc. The school year ends with a preschool and kindergarten graduation. We celebrate the birthday of each child by inviting their parents for our Montessori Celebration of Life.
