Our Mission
King Arthur Montessori Academy applies the principles and techniques of Maria Montessori in a class environment conducive to independent learning and self discipline. With these elements we assist the child to reach his/her, maximum learning potential and develop a life long love of learning.
Our mission is for each child to become an independent, self-reliant person possessing the skills necessary to achieve their own goals, and have the ability to make a positive contribution to society. To achieve this goal, we base our educational approach on the developmental philosophy and educational method of Dr. Maria Montessori.

The Martinez Family
Javier and Nelly Martinez opened King Arthur Montessori Academy on June 1, 2009. They have a passion for education and strive to make a positive difference in the lives of new generations. He is a graduate of Monterey Institute of Technology in Mexico City and in 2005 completed his MBA at SMU in Dallas. His own education journey taught him perseverance, dedication, and made a notable difference in him life. This was the driving force for Javier as he and his wife set out to open their own school. They chose a Montessori school because they love how the method emphasizes learning through all five senses at the child’s own pace with beautiful concrete materials. It cultivates a love of learning and is designed for all children. Javier and Nelly are both Montessori certified and Nelly teaches the Spanish classes at King Arthur.
As parents to three children, Diego, Francisco, and John Paul, they experienced their young children growing up in the Montessori environment at King Arthur since they were born. He and his wife were able to experience the success of the method both at school and at home and "It has been one of the best experiences in my life," he says proudly! One of their favorite and most rewarding hobbies is to travel and spend time with family.
